Entertainment

The Corn Barn is a wonderful place for a celebration and the entertainment you choose to provide is the icing on the cake.

Whether it’s the more traditional live band or a disco, or maybe something a little different, the requests we have for entertainment are diverse. From harpists to sopranos, jesters to magicians – and, of course, spectacular fireworks. You are also most welcome to make use of our integrated sound system and play your own music via your iPod or alternative mobile device.

Many also choose to take advantage of our courtyard and bring along garden games for children (and the big children!) and others have arranged tractor rides and falconry displays.

As with all aspects of planning your wedding at The Corn Barn, feel free to let your imaginations run wild and make the day your own.

Food & Drink

Being an important part of any event, we’re here to help you work through your food and drink choices – just tell us what you have in mind and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Food

Although we don’t provide catering ourselves, The Corn Barn has it’s own kitchen and prep area perfectly situated between the Linhay and main barn, and you are invited to appoint your own caterer, who will have our kitchen at their disposal for the day.

Tailored to suit your requirements and tastes, we’ve hosted anything from picnics and food vans all the way through to formal fine dining from renowned event caterers. In the event that your chosen caterer does not supply their own waiting staff, we are able to arrange our own team to serve your  food.

So whether it’s a formal sit-down meal, maybe a food van or a buffet, or you have bought your own food, we are happy to work with you and liaise with your chosen caterers to bring it all together.

Drink

The Corn Barn has it’s own, fully stocked bar which is located in the Linhay, which is the perfect spot for drinks receptions or relaxing over a pint of our Thatcher’s cider!   

The bar is staffed at no extra cost. 

For a wedding, it will open around an hour before the wedding ceremony, or on your arrival if you are exchanging vows elsewhere. The bar remains open for the duration of your wedding celebrations up until midnight. Likewise, for other events and celebrations, the bar will be open from the beginning of your event until the end of the festivities, up to midnight, fully stocked and staffed. 

In the event that you would like to provide your own wine and fizz, we will happily store and chill it where required, and serve as requested for a nominal service charge. 

For our conference and business clients, the bar is available on request and opened to your requirements, stipulated in advance.
